My goodness, what do you get for the father in your life? Especially if you really want to buy him something while you have your own jewelry repaired... And you don't feel like buying him another tie (because he's retired, or he's casual, or you just don't want to get him a tie...though we do sell them!) a genius solution is something thoughtful... How do you get what you want? I am in New Zealand currently. Both racing at the 2017 World Masters Games in rowing and having a holiday. Which reminds me- sometimes metal goes funny. Because it is reactive- to acids, to bases, to minerals. I especially was reminded of this when I purposefully wore my silver in the mineral baths in Rotarua, which I was warned against doing but thought it a fun experiment. High sulfur and acid content= lovely blackened silver. It also happens on very sweaty acidic skin. My sterling silver at fist looked gold, and now has a lovely darkened coppery tone. No problemo...

I'm in the jewelry business so mostly, I'm talking jewelry... but you can use your imagination and apply it to anyone in any situation. The perfect gift starts and ends with love. For earrings, drama is the thing: big long sweeping chandeliers.  We just repaired a pair of Gucci rhinestone earrings: they were made up of a stack of four 1" long stone encrusted hands...they rubbed her shoulders!
